How to get to Chemspec Europe
The event will take place at Messe Basel, Switzerland. International flight connections as well as the excellent local infrastructure make the venue easily accessible by plane, car and public transport.

Public Transport
Tram: From Basel SBB/SNCF station, take tram line 1 or 2 to the “Messeplatz” stop. It takes around 10 minutes. From Badischer Bahnhof, tram lines 2 or 6 take you directly to Messe Basel in just two stops.
From EuroAirport: Bus 50 connects EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg with Basel SBB/SNCF station. From there, take tram line 1 or 2 directly to “Messeplatz.”
Car
Parking: Messe Basel has an on-site parking garage with 1,200 spaces, providing convenient access to the exhibition centre.
Motorway Access: Messe Basel is directly accessible via the A2 motorway. Take the “Messe” exit, which leads directly to the Messe Basel parking garage. Basel is well connected to the Swiss, German and French motorway networks.
Train
Nearest Station: Basel Badischer Bahnhof is the closest main railway station to Messe Basel. From there, tram lines 2 or 6 take you directly to Messeplatz in just two stops.
Connections: Basel SBB/SNCF is Basel’s main railway station, with national and international connections. From Basel SBB/SNCF, take tram line 1 or 2 to Messeplatz. The journey takes around 10 minutes.
Air
Nearest Airport: EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (BSL/MLH/EAP), approximately a 15-minute drive from Messe Basel.
Transport from Airport: Bus line 50 connects EuroAirport directly to Basel SBB/SNCF station. From there, take tram line 1 or 2 to Messeplatz.
Alternative: Zurich Airport (ZRH) is another option for international travellers, with direct trains to Basel taking just over an hour.
Visa information
We recommend initiating your visa arrangements well in advance to ensure you obtain the necessary documentation before the start of the exhibition. Applications can often be made several months before your planned travel date.
