Visitors to Chemspec Europe should enter the venue through Entrance East.
Public Transport
Tram/Light Rail: Cologne’s KVB trams (lines 1, 3, 4, 9) stop at “Koelnmesse”/“Deutz Messe” station, right next to the venue.
Bus: Several bus routes connect to Köln-Deutz station, which is within walking distance of the exhibition halls.
Car
Venue Address: Koelnmesse, Messeplatz 1, 50679 Köln.
Parking: Koelnmesse offers multiple parking areas around the exhibition grounds. Visitors can use the large parking garages (P1–P22) with direct access to the halls. Parking is signposted from all major motorways around Cologne.
Motorway Access: Easily reachable via the A3, A4, and A559 motorways. Follow signs for “Koelnmesse” once near Cologne.
Train
Nearest Station: Köln Messe/Deutz station is directly opposite Koelnmesse.
Connections: High-speed ICE trains, regional trains, and S-Bahn services stop here. It’s one stop away from Cologne Central Station (Köln Hbf), which is a major hub for national and international routes.
Air
Nearest Airport: Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN), about 15 minutes by car or train.
Transport from Airport: Direct S-Bahn and regional trains connect CGN to Köln Messe/Deutz station. Taxis and rental cars are also available.
Alternative Airports: Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) and Frankfurt Airport (FRA) are larger hubs with frequent train connections to Cologne.
Visa information
We recommend initiating your visa arrangements well in advance to ensure you obtain your visa before the start of the exhibition. Applications can be made as early as six months before the time of travel.

Need an invitation letter?
The German Foreign Office has informed the German Embassy and Consulate Visa Sections all over the world that, effective 24 July 2013, an official invitation letter from the trade fair organiser is no longer required when applying for a trade fair visa. Furthermore, foreign exhibitors at German trade fairs who present an official exhibitor pass are exempt from the visa fee.
