The Venue

Munich

Munich is mainly known for Lederhosen, beer and the Oktoberfest but Munich has much more to offer besides all the Bavarian clichés. Munich is regarded as one of the Germany's most important cultural and economic hubs and is Southern Germany’s principal location for the chemical industry.

Various global players, as well as numerous medium-sized enterprises, are based in the Munich region, renowned in particular for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and green chemistry, plastics, colours and coatings, personal care products, as well as chemical fibres. Highly successful research partnerships between companies and research institutes are a growth engine for a prospering business environment in and around the Bavarian capital.

Between cosiness and urbanity, nature and culture, Munich blends a rich historical past with a metropolitan flair. A well-developed public transport network, lively recreational offerings and a picturesque setting make Munich one of the most popular destinations in Europe. Munich is well connected to numerous international destinations and is, therefore, an excellent venue for a successful Chemspec Europe 2017.
